Vista users!
There are a few of Tourney Tracker features that do not operate
properly with the Vista operating system that we know of -- and possibly
more with your particular system setup.
The Help documentation
within the tool cannot be accessed if you are running Vista.
This is due to a change made by Microsoft in the operating system.
full Help documentation that comes with the product. The
download is in Adobe Acrobat format and approximately 770 KB.
Also, when you try to automatically log into
the Entry-Net from the Tourney Tracker™ PC-based tool, you may get
Error #75 and the process will not occur. To get around that
issue, you can do the following:
- right-click Start
- click Explore
- find your C: drive and click
- find Program Files and click
- find Tourney Tracker and click
- find TourneyTracker (.exe) and right-click
- choose Properties
- click the Compatibility tab
- check the "Run in Compatibility Mode for" and choose Windows XP
Service Pack 2
- in the Privilege Level section, check the "Run this program as an
administrator" box
- click OK
This should set the security on your computer such that the automated
Tourney Tracker™ functions will work properly.
Also, some people have reported problems with printing (black boxes in some
areas, for example, or no print at all). Try the above bulleted steps
to see if that helps. If not, then print will need to done to a file
(either HTML, comma-delimited for import into a spreadsheet, or text file)
and then printed separately.

Tourney Tracker™ Problems and
Solutions |
Solution Options
Your options for resolving these issues will depend on your "Registration ID
Version". You can tell your Registration ID version by going to Help /
About Tourney Tracker™. Be sure to look for your "Registration ID Version"
or "Reg. Version" -- do not get this version number confused with the
software release version.
Holders of Registration ID Version 2008.1 or higher (purchased after March of
2007) can upgrade to the latest version of Tourney Tracker™ 2008 for free.
Click here to go to the upgrade
page for instructions. Note that holders of version 2008.1 registration
versions must have Tourney Tracker™ 2008 installed in order to use the Entry-Net.
Holders of 2007.1 and earlier registration ID's
must purchase an upgrade in order to use the latest version of the software or
to use the Entry-Net this year.
An upgrade to version 2008 is available for only
$12.95.
If you hold an earlier version of the software
(2007.1 or sooner) and would prefer not to upgrade, but you need to
re-install the software, you will need to click below to download the previous
version of the software. You can follow the basic instructions on the
Upgrade page to install the software -- just use
the file that you download here vs. the download of the 2008 version found on
that page. You will need your 13-digit registration ID from your original
purchase. Remember, though, using an older version of the software will
not allow you to use the Entry-Net web entry or report posting functions.

Release
Information
The information below indicates the known problems for
each of the published versions of Tourney Tracker™ this year. In
most cases, problems with one version are also problems with any earlier
version. See the instructions above for information on your options
to solve these problems.
Tourney Tracker™ 2008.1.2 (the current
release)
- No known problems.
Tourney Tracker™ 2008.1.1
- Check marks appear on grayed out reports in the Print, Save,
Publish window. You can go ahead and print or publish the reports.
You will get a warning message, but it should not stop you from printing
or posting your reports. To get rid of them, try closing
everything out and coming in again. If that does not work, try opening
up the repots that you want to send to the Entry-Net, then open up the
Report / Print, Publish, Save option.
- The "standard list" functionality for reports is not working properly.
- When sending a large number of bracket print files to the Entry-Net,
you may encounter error #380 or something similar. You can click
through the error messages and the upload will still work.
Tourney Tracker™ 2007.1.1
When using the print, publish, save reports function, the "standard
list" selection is changed to the current selected reports without
specifically requesting that to happen.
Also, on that same window, a checkmark can appear in a select box that
is disabled, causing an error when the reports are requested to be
printed.
When importing entries from another file, the name of the participant
does not always show up correctly on reports unless the file is saved
and re-opened first.
Sort on the Participants Listing window sometimes sorts on a column
other than the selected column.
Tourney Tracker™ 2006.1.5
No known problems.
Tourney Tracker™ 2006.1.4
When attempting to create a file of the Current Standings by
Possible Points report, the check box for the report is not recognized
and the file will not be produced. Upgrade to the latest version
to solve the problem.
Tourney Tracker™ 2006.1.3
Spreadsheet entries are dropping the "Texas" picks when
imported. You can upgrade to the latest version to solve the
problem, or go into Edit / Bracket Setup and take the space off of the
end of "Texas", save, and then import your spreadsheet entries.
You can then add the space back in the same way.
Tourney Tracker™ 2006.1.1 & 2
An error may occur when opening a file that was saved from another
registered owner of Tourney Tracker.
Tourney Tracker™ 2006.1.0
An error may occur when trying to open the Print, Save, or Publish
window. Opening a report, then trying to open the window can
bypass the problem.
Tourney Tracker™ 2005.1.2
No known problems at this time.
Tourney Tracker™ 2005.1.1
Importing a comma-delimited (.csv) entry file, created from a
spreadsheet template, will only work for a new file. If the
function is tried with a file where imports have been done previously,
the files will not be recognized and will show that there is nothing to
import.
